Last month week we traveled to see both our families. My Mom celebrated her 75th birthday in Boulder Colorado and Andrew’s Grandaddy celebrated his 85th birthday in Memphis.
It was a wonderful trip. Though, I cannot stop thinking about Graceland and the tragedy that was Elvis Presley. My Mom is a huge Elvis fan, so it was a stark contrast to celebrate her 75th birthday and visit the place Elvis died so tragically and unnecessarily at 42—about the age I am. I imagine how different the world would have been if he had lived a full life. I wrote about it in more detail last week.

House building has started, and we are starting our harvest season with scapes and radishes. Most exciting orchard discovery—we have a mulberry tree!
