Thankful for the Most Important Lesson in Finance
How you employ your money helps you build a meaningful and joyful life.
With Thanksgiving upon us, I’ve been thinking about how blessed Andrew’s and my life is; much of it is because of years of dedicated hard work and sacrifice.
But while hard work and tough choices were part of it, I personally feel even more thankful because much of my adult life has been building a business working with people from all walks of life. I almost feel like I’m cheating at success because my biggest lessons in life have come from running my business and learning from my clients what makes their lives work (or sometimes not work).
Somewhere along the way I learned the most important lesson in finance—that the most significant thing you can do with your money is view it as the foundation of the life you want to live—that the way you spend, save, invest, and grow it reflects the way you want to live in this world.
So, this week of Thanksgiving, I simply say, to those of you I’ve met and worked with over the almost 15 years of business, thank you. You are all a part of the tapestry of my life. I only hope I helped you get where you need to go in some way, even if it was just encouragement to live the life you want.
And to those of you reading who I may not have met just yet, I wish you also a wonderful holiday season. I hope some of these stacks have helped you think about how you manage your money, or even better—live your life.
🍁🍂Rural Life Lately
If someone told in 2019 that in five years I would be living in the hinterlands of Upstate New York and acquiring land to build a regenerative farm I never would have believed them.
Fast forward to end of 2024, and my husband and I are proud farm owners! We won’t be moving to the land for at least a year, but work has already started at Goshen Grove Farms. I’m sure there will be more updates to come, but for now we are very excited to start our biggest project yet.
That's an amazing update! I wish nothing but success on your new venture. I can't thank you and your team enough for setting up my wife and I for success and helping us get into our first home.
