Listen now | A rural lifestyle costs less to maintain, promotes a more thoughtful way of life, and provides you with a true community of friends and neighbors.
We were having a dinner party recently and my husband and I started telling stories about the people we knew or knew about when we lived in a rural community. The word 'community' really has meaning in the rural setting. We realized that knowing many of the community members made life much more interesting and compassionate than in a metropolitan center where we live now. It also made living there more of an adventure than city-life because of the connections. Our city guests were surprisingly fascinated by our stories and said we should write a book. This is another important aspect, though not financial, one should consider.
Yes, I believe life is enriched beyond what one imagines when you live in a rural community. Truly, it is a community and neighbors and friends rely on one another. Thank you for sharing!

Great stuff Jenny. I listened to your entire podcast.
I totally agree. I left living in Little Italy in San Diego to work and raise a family in Anchorage Alaska.
Keep up the good work!
